- Switch off 'Automatically adjust active hours', then set a start and end time — Windows won't restart to finish installing inside this window

- The window can span up to 18 hours, so cover your longest regular session, not just a typical 9-to-5

- For a specific day — a deadline, a tournament — use Pause updates instead, for up to 5 weeks at a time, without touching active hours

- Updates still download in the background during active hours; only the restart is held off, so don't expect downloads themselves to pause
