MENDA
Terms of use
The whole thing fits on one page. Read it once and you're done.
What this site is
Menda provides free, plain-English computer troubleshooting: step-by-step fixes for Windows and Mac problems, a guided diagnosis tool, and an AI assistant (Menda AI) that recommends fixes from our library. Menda is run by EmTech.
General information, not professional advice
Everything here is general guidance written for ordinary users. It is not professional IT support, and it may not fit your specific machine, software or data. You are responsible for what you do on your own computer — including making sure important files are backed up before following any fix that touches system settings.
About Menda AI
Menda AI is powered by a third-party model (Qwen, via Alibaba Cloud Model Studio) and can make mistakes, including recommending the wrong fix. Check each step against your own machine before you act, and prefer reversible steps when two options do the same job.
To keep the service fast for everyone, Menda AI has fair-use limits: a per-minute cap, a daily cap per visitor, and a small site-wide daily budget. When any of them is reached, the assistant politely stops until later — that is normal operation, not a fault on your side.
No warranty
The site and everything on it are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that any fix will work on your machine, or that the site will stay up at all.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, EmTech is not liable for any damage — to your data, equipment or anything else — arising from using this site or following its advice. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Fair use
You may use the site however a normal visitor would. You may not: probe, scan or load-test the service; attempt to bypass its rate limits; scrape it at scale; or use Menda AI to generate content for the purpose of harming others. We can block anyone who does.
Your content
If you send a message to Menda AI, you're fine — we don't sell it, advertise with it, or train anything on it (see our privacy policy). You keep all rights to what you type.
Our content
The fixes, writing and design on this site are ours. You may link to any page freely; quoting a short passage with a link is fine too.
Changes
We may change the site or these terms as the project evolves. If a change matters, we'll update this page and note the date below.
